Chelsea attended the Aveda Institute and holds a degree in Fine Arts. Among the continued education Denny Kemp Salon provides on a yearly basis, Chelsea has had extensive training in Wella and L’Oréal balayage color and is our balayage educator.

“I am classically trained in fine arts and input the fundamental elements of design into my craft. I love all things outdoors and get creatively inspired by the colors, shapes and designs nature makes. In 2014 I apprenticed under the “makeover guy” Christopher Hopkins assisting in hundreds of makeovers on women flown in from all over the country. Since joining the team at DKS I have furthered my knowledge in balayage, became a balayage educator and worked on annual local fashion shows doing hair and make-up. I see myself first and foremost as a colorist, but my second runner up is wedding styles & make-up. Mostly making people feel their upmost beautiful & best is my favorite part of my job. I love making people smile.”
